The Highline, NYC

Finally, I own a Paula Scher Map! (okay, a poster.)

The High line is located in NYC and was built in the 1930's as a means to elevate freight traffic and create safer streets in Manhattan. It was used for approximately 50 years and became a historical structure which was under threat of demolition in the late 90's. A group of individuals gathered with aim to preserve the High Line by transforming it into a park.

Paula Scher was the designer of the High Line logo in addition to several others graphics for the park. I've always been attracted to her design work so owning the poster was a must.
